Julia inspired so many to give their best in support of swimming. I was privileged to share rooms with her at several National Events and her energy and good humour would keep us going after many a long day officiating on poolside. Her indefatigable spirit was typified by braving all the elements to reach the pool to officiate in Edinburgh during the Beast from The East in 2018 during which of course she managed to see Iain and the family.
