Julia first coached me in 1986 when I was in my early 30s. She last coached me only a couple of years ago. I have a lot to thank her for.

Julia also appeared many times at national and regional masters events as lane judge and locally as referee. I always appreciated her being present when I was competing - she gave me the confidence to try just that bit harder as the results showed.

I will miss her greatly.
